New job Dottie

Made a card for Jenny Hall, who is leaving CB to be Deputy Editor at an interiors magazine. Reluctant to go along the ‘Good Luck in your new job’ route as I don’t do luck (see previous post) so had the brainwave of using this Dottie image to create a different sort of new job card

Wedding request

I made this card a while back but it hasn’t sold yet

then I was asked if I could do a similar one but without a dark background. There aren’t a lot of images of wedding cakes without dark backgrounds as they are used to set off the detail of the cake !!! :-0 Found one eventually and here’s the result:

I still prefer the first and am probably going to use it myself for a wedding in August!!!

Vanity and ‘ All Creatures Great & Small ‘

A challenge on CB forum with the theme vanity left me somewhat stumped – wasn’t going to enter cos of time constraints with my hols but then had a brainwave … here’s the result:

Although it has a vanity theme it could also be used as a new baby, first birthday or general card

It also completes challenge 7 at Ooh-la-la-creations which is ‘ All Creatures Great & Small ‘

One more step along the world I go …

Had a request for a leaving card for a Methodist minister from one of my Christian friends. Now Christians don’t tend to go for “Good Luck” type cards as we believe that we don’t need luck when God is on our side – in fact I haven’t made one yet!!!

So what to do … ?
